Fly Fishing

Our location in Southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana offers some of the finest fly fishing opportunities around. Pristine marsh environment gives us the opportunity at some beautiful specimens of redfish, sheepshead and even alligator gar if you care to donate a fly to them! Crystal clear shallow marsh water makes these “pumpkins” stand out even more.

Our fly fishing trips are hosted by Capt. Adam Jaynes onboard an exceptional 17′ Yellowfin poling skiff powered by a 115hp Mercury outboard. Standing atop a casting platform assists in spotting redfish in the marsh. You will also have the opportunity to see a vast variety of wildlife in the beautiful marsh surroundings.

These fly fishing trips typically begin a little later in the morning, around 8:30am, giving the sun some time to rise to assist in spotting redfish. Either an 8 or 9wt fly rod with a 16-20lb tapered leader is ideal for landing redfish in our area. Our average size redfish range in the 22-32″ class with some redfish going larger up to 18-25lbs. The best fly fishing times are from early spring until fall. Contact Capt. Adam Jaynes for the most recent conditions and to book your trip today!
