I was born and raised fishing and hunting both Southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana. I was very blessed to be able to spend a large percentage of my childhood at my Grandpa and Grandma’s camp in Grand Chenier, Louisiana. It was there where my passion for the outdoors truly blossomed. There were countless mornings as a child I would wake up before sunrise just to fish off the dock.
My passion turned into an obsession as I began mowing yards at the age of 12 to begin raising money to purchase my first boat. By the time I was 15 years old I had finally raised enough to buy a new aluminum boat with a 40hp Mercury motor. From then on if I wasn’t at baseball practice I was in my boat either fishing, duck hunting, frogging, crabbing or anything else I could get into!
I quickly became determined that I wanted to turn my passion for fishing into a career. I obtained my Captain’s license after my freshman year in college and began guiding on Sabine Lake and Lake Calcasieu as well as the surrounding marshes, rivers and bayous. I have been tremendously blessed to have been living my dream for over 10 years now. Nothing makes me as happy as being out on the water, especially getting to put other’s on fish and share my love for the sport with them.
